Can’t make your grade 8 camp because of Corona? Organize a Camp Day. Group 8 camp is the highlight of elementary school. Unfortunately, because of Corona, many school camps cannot take place. Therefore, organize something else, a camp day for example. All the highlights of school camp completely compacted into 1 day. Without Corvee and with much Gladness!
Kickoff: Team assignment
What is a camp without teams and competition? Divide the group into 2 or 3 teams!
08:00am Sports start: Bootcamp
Of course, we start off nice and sporty! Camps are known for being quite a bit tougher physically. The instructor pushes the pre-pubers to their limits. Of course, he stays 1.5 meters away from the children and plenty of cleaning supplies are taken with him!
09:30 am Living Stratego
Find a nice location near school for a game of live stratego. Blijwin can provide the necessary tickets but you probably have these yourself!
11:30am Mummy game
Toilet paper is back to normal. So time for the teams to have the most beautiful mummy made of themselves or the teachers.
12:00 p.m. Gore lunch
Camps are known for having food that is sometimes just a little less fresh than usual. Therefore, the teams may provide lunch for each other.
2:00 p.m. Practice for the bonte evening
No teams for a while: everyone split into small groups to prepare for the bon voyage evening. Or to chill out.
4:00 p.m. Soap track
How could this day be without a soap job? Some great sails, lots of soap and lots of fun!
18:30h BBQ and fries
Let the kids enjoy barbecuing by themselves spread over a few barbecues, success guaranteed. Accompanied, of course, and as the ultimate backup, fortunately, French fries were ordered!
8:00 p.m. Bonte Avond
It is finally time to perform the practiced dances, quizzes and other goofy stuff in front of the whole class. Of course, a dirty-quiz with custard cannot be missed. (Personal note; that was my own camp act)
9:00 p.m. Disco
After all that sitting still, it really is time to move again. Fortunately, there is a DJ and we can really let loose for a while!
Tip: expand it with the Photobooth or the Popcorn machine, for example!
10:30 Campfire? Werewolves? Dropping? Or going home?
Every beautiful day comes to an end. Unfortunately also to this nice-long camp day!
